Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our team, located in Addison, Illinois. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. Your role will also involve engaging in cost reduction analysis throughout the company and assisting with other accounting duties as required. Responsibilities: • Execute daily procedures and controls, including the 3-way matching of invoices for completeness and accuracy. • Manage all routine duties of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. • Assist in the preparation and execution of payment orders. • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts. • Review high-cost invoices, expense reports, reimbursements, and requests for advances. • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company. • Work alongside the financial controller to ensure clean and timely year-end audits. • Review current credit and collections processes and suggest improvements. • Follow deadlines for payments on outstanding balances. • Assist in other accounting duties or special projects as needed.
