Description
We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with providing transactional accounting support, primarily focusing on the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) areas. Additionally, you will be expected to perform account reconciliations and journal entries, as well as participate in the month-end close process.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver support for transactional accounting, including AP and AR
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy of 300 monthly invoices
• Provide backup support to two transactional accountants on the team
• Conduct account reconciliations regularly
• Make journal entries and postings as required
• Participate in the month-end close process that spans over three days
• Utilize your skills in SAP, General Accounting, and General Ledger to ensure efficient operations
• Contribute to the implementation of new systems to improve accounting processes.
This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with adjusting journal entries and journal entry preparation
• Demonstrated ability to manage month end close processes
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures
• Familiarity with managing and maintaining the general ledger
• Proven experience in system implementation projects
• Proficiency in using SAP or similar accounting software
