Description The Staff Accountant will provide essential accounting support to the finance team in managing the organization’s financial transactions, with a focus on accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires experience with nonprofit accounting, knowledge of accounting software (specifically Appfolio). Responsibilities: • Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations • Assisting in the management of the organization's financial transactions • Utilizing accounting software, specifically AppFolio, for various accounting tasks • Supporting affordable housing initiatives through diligent accounting practices • Handling tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Conducting Bank Reconciliations and maintaining the General Ledger • Preparing Journal Entries and managing Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using different accounting software such as Appfolio, Yardi • Providing essential accounting support to the finance team • Maintaining a passion for non-profit work and its mission.
