Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team, based in Denver, Colorado. The role involves handling a broad range of financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, executing bank reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and performing journal entries. You will also work with Sage Intacct software to streamline our accounting operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain the general ledger to keep track of financial activities • Execute heavy bank reconciliations to evaluate the company's financial transactions • Process accounts payable and receivable with a focus on accuracy and timely execution • Prepare and post journal entries accurately to record financial transactions • Use Sage Intacct software to expedite the company's accounting operations • Assist with month-end closing processes, including audit preparation and the production of various financial reports • Collaborate with other members of the finance team to improve financial procedures Requirements • Applicants must possess proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proficiency in bank reconciliations is mandatory for this role. • The role requires knowledge and practical experience with general ledger. • Candidates should be adept at preparing and maintaining journal entries. • Expertise in month-end close processes is necessary for this position. • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is a significant advantage.
