Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the non-profit industry for a Staff Accountant based in Tustin, California. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be tasked with handling various accounting duties, including processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities • Accurately process transactions related to Accounts Payable (AP) • Handle processes and transactions related to Accounts Receivable (AR) • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Maintain and manage the general ledger, updating and reviewing entries as necessary • Prepare and record journal entries in line with financial policies • Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice processing, payment approval, and vendor management. • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, able to effectively reconcile bank statements with general ledger balances. • Understanding of General Ledger operations, capable of maintaining and updating chart of accounts. • Knowledge of Journal Entries, able to accurately record financial transactions in the company's books. • Experience with Month End Close procedures, including preparing financial statements and reports.
