Remote Staff Accountant - Located in Florida (highly preferred) Must be located in EST timezone

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in Florida or the eastern time zone region. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, with a strong understanding of full cycle accounting duties and revenue recognition, particularly under ASC 606 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform full cycle accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Support revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with ASC 606 guidelines.

Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to manage financial data and generate reports.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Maintain organized and detailed financial records.

Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2-5 Years of Accounting Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Strong understanding of full cycle accounting and revenue recognition principles.

Familiarity with ASC 606 guidelines is highly preferred.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Prior experience in the shipping/logistics industry and/or dropshipping is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
