Staff Accountant

Through a mix of sound strategy, breakthrough creative and flawless execution, we create memorable trade show exhibits, live and virtual events, brand activations, retail stores, corporate environments and other immersive experiences that deepen relationships, inspire action, and build trust--and we do it all over the world. **Summary** The main role for this Staff Accountant is to ensure that Sparks receives payments for goods and services and properly records the transactions. The duties and responsibilities of this position require not only a focus for numbers, but also attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills. This position will support our Accounting team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of Philadelphia, PA. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Manage AR including: + Verify all invoices for accuracy before they are sent to clients. + Collect past due accounts by sending reminders and communications to clients. + Keep updated records of all collection activity and customer deposits. + Upload invoices in client portals, confirm payment progress, and resolve any issues that may delay payment in a timely manner. + Originate wire and ACH payments to Vendors. + Reconcile credit card and electronic payments from bank to ERP system. + Set up new clients in ERP and CRM systems. + Month-End Close Account Reconciliations. + Analysis of financial statements/job costing reports. + Analyzing revenue and expenses. + Posting journal entries. + Assist with year-end Audit and Annual Budget. + Assist the accounting team when needed. **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. + 2-5 years of hands-on corporate accounting experience, preferably with a mid-sized company ($25-75M in revenue ideal but flexible). + Knowledge of general accounting principles. + Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. + High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. + Excellent data entry skills. + Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills. + Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills. + Effective organizational, stress and time management skills. + Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines. + Ability to work independently or as a team member. + Ability to work with a diverse group of people. + Customer service and negotiation skills. **What We Offer** Freeman provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
