Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general ledger account reconciliations and workpapers, trend analysis, weekly and monthly journal entries.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n•\tPrepare and record weekly sales from the billing system\n•\tPrepare weekly reports such as Cash Posted, A/R Reserve, and A/R over 90\n•\tPrepare monthly accounting journal entries\n•\tRecord monthly regional journal entries\n•\tPerforms financial statement review and trend analysis for corporate departments\n•\tPrepares general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations and workpapers\n•\tOther duties as assigned\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n•\tBS/BA in Accounting/Finance or Certificate in Accounting preferred\n•\tHands on general ledger experience a plus\n•\tStrong written and verbal communication skills\n•\tStrong analytical and problem solving skills\n•\tStrong attention to detail and well organized\n•\tPositive attitude and ability to work independently and as a part of a team\n•\tProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) applications\n•\tLarger ERP experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n•\tStrong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.\n•\tStrong computer and database management skills.\n•\tProficiency with automated systems and willingness and ability to learn new software packages.\n•\tFive years of progressively responsible grant accounting experience.\n•\tExperience working with Federal, State and County Grants.\n•\tExperience working with Sage Intacct software. \n•\tExperience in a nonprofit accounting environment.\n•\tDemonstrated ability to perform multi tasks in an environment where priorities can change rapidly.\n•\tAbility to assist/train co-workers.\n•\tProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\n•\tProficient problem-solving skills.\n•\tAbility to effectively adapt to change.\n•\tAbility to thrive and excel in a growth environment.\n•\tDemonstrated leadership skills as well as working on a team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
