Caddell **Staff Accountant** Montgomery, AL 36104 **Job Title –** Staff Accountant **Location –** Montgomery, AL, on-site **Resumes will be reviewed continually.** **Rewards of Working at Caddell – Paid vacations, company paid holidays, company joint funding of medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability plans to full-time employees, 401k, gym membership reimbursement, and use of company condominiums.** **What You Will Do** + Daily accounting activities, including reviewing vendor applications for payment. + Create and execute general journal entries on a daily basis based on supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP. + Month-end close activities, including maintaining monthly and quarterly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and work in process schedules. + Assists with preparation of documentation as requested by external auditors. + Prepares special financial reports as requested by management by analyzing account information and trends. + Initiates accounting research to ensure all transactions are in accordance with GAAP. + Supports the accounting team by performing other assigned duties as needed. + Supports continuous improvement in the department by reviewing, recommending and implementing better methods for existing processes. + **Working Conditions** – Office setting, no travel required, full time + **Reporting Structure –** Cost Accountant Manager **What We Expect** **Accountability is part of The Caddell Way and our employees share in a strong work ethic and positive team environment. Minimum 2- 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred. **CPA licensure is ideal.** While the salary range is typically between $55,225 - $73,600 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities –** Experience with multiple software programs, including Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel), ERP systems, SAGE and other accounting programs. Demonstrated ability to handle conflicting tasks and problem solving. Critical thinker. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to manage difficult internal and external needs. Excellent attention to detail. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, verifies own work to ensure quality work product. Dependable self-starter with solid organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work efficiently. Meets productivity standards within required timelines.
