We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full-cycle processing of accounting documents, audit incoming items for accuracy, and ensure compliance with corporate policies. You will maintain an organized submission process, support the month-end close process, and communicate with internal and external customers as necessary. This role requires cross-training with other accounting team members and involves performing special projects as requested.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the full-cycle processing of accounting documents, including timely review and entry.
+ Audit incoming items for accuracy and corporate policy compliance.
+ Maintain an organized process to guide submissions through the cycle and communicate with internal and external customers.
+ Support the month-end close process by preparing work papers and journal entries.
+ Ensure timely processing and continued tracking of documents, ensuring they are completely processed and closed.
+ Review incoming requests, ensure the accuracy of information, and record to the proper general ledger account.
+ Cross-train with other accounting team members to ensure proper support and coverage.
+ Perform special projects and other duties as requested or assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1 to 3 years of general accounting experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent direct experience.
+ Intermediate knowledge of accounting practices.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (including pivot tables and lookups), and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with large ERP systems such as QuickBooks or SAP is preferred.
+ Superior organizational, teamwork, and time management skills.
+ A commitment to quality, with excellent attention to detail.
+ Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, customer service, professionalism, and integrity.
+ Ability to multi-task and respond to requests in a timely manner.
+ Strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
+ Comfortable with deadlines and thrives on achieving continued completion of them.
+ Willingness to learn and provide input on processes and procedures.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with 4 days required in the office. You will support the Accounting Manager in day-to-day, weekly, and monthly Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel Expense transactions, General Ledger, and other accounting-related activities. The work environment is fast-paced and involves working closely with a team of talented, curious, and authentic individuals.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
