Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general ledger account reconciliations, workpapers, trend analysis, as well as weekly and monthly journal entries.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and record weekly sales from the billing systemPrepare weekly reports such as Cash Posted, A/R Reserve, and A/R over 90Prepare monthly accounting journal entriesRecord monthly regional journal entriesPerform financial statement review and trend analysis for corporate departmentsPrepare general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations and workpapersOther duties as assignedEssential SkillsBS/BA in Accounting/Finance or Certificate in Accounting preferredHands-on general ledger experience a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and well organizedPositive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a teamProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) applicationsLarger ERP experience a plusAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong Microsoft Word and Excel skillsStrong computer and database management skillsProficiency with automated systems and willingness and ability to learn new software packagesFive years of progressively responsible grant accounting experienceExperience working with Federal, State, and County GrantsExperience working with Sage Intacct softwareExperience in a nonprofit accounting environmentDemonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in an environment where priorities can change rapidlyAbility to assist/train co-workersProficient problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively adapt to changeAbility to thrive and excel in a growth environmentDemonstrated leadership skills as well as working on a teamWork Environment

Start times are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Fridays 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. The position entails a 35-hour work week, with 5 days a week in the office. The office is located in Millersville. Interviews will be conducted in a single panel in-person format.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
