As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Staff Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional who is eager to develop their expertise and advance their career with a reputable organization. As a Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role in maintaining the company's financial health by managing and analyzing accounting data, preparing accurate financial statements, and adhering to established processes and controls. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure financial information is updated and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage daily accounting activities, including processing journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
+ Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring proper coding and timely payment or collection.
+ Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing schedules and reports as needed.
+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure strategic goal alignment.
+ Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.
+ Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
+ Perform other ad hoc projects and financial analyses as assigned.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including GAAP.
+ Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
+ Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
+ CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
