Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant in Addison, Texas, to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Exploration & Production industry. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity, providing you with the chance to contribute to our accounting tasks and learn from our current staff. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis • Prepare and post necessary journal entries for month end close • Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks • Generate and manage revenue reporting specific to the Oil & Gas industry. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the Oil & Gas - Exploration & Production industry • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Experience with Bank Reconciliations and managing General Ledger • Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and protocols • Experience working with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Knowledge and understanding of Oil & Gas - Revenue Reporting • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Willingness to continuously improve and update accounting skills and knowledge.
