Description We are searching for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will be entrusted with the crucial task of managing financial data, ensuring accurate reporting, and overseeing both accounts payable and receivable. Moreover, you will provide administrative support in finance and accounting, and assist with payroll administration. Responsibilities • Accurately process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded in a timely manner. • Handle and maintain the general ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries. • Assist in the semi-monthly administration of payroll, including the preparation of various reports related to the payroll function. • Provide administrative support to the finance manager, including the collection and reconciliation of Member payroll data. • Ensure accurate reporting by gathering, checking, and verifying financial data. • Assist in the preparation of financial, accounting, and statistical statements and reports for management reporting. • Oversee vendor databases and handle 1099 processing. • Monitor and audit cash receipts and disbursements, prepare bank deposits, and prepare related reports. • Help in preparing data analysis reports and presentations for the Board. • Provide backup support for accounts payable, including processing invoices, contacting vendors regarding payments, and generating and mailing checks.
