Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role offers an opportunity to work in the fast-paced capital markets industry, with exposure to diverse entities and transactions. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a vital part of the team, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting key processes, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and record journal entries • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage online bank portals • Handle expenses across different entities, including RE-insurance and capital markets • Participate in audits and ensure all financial information is accurate and up-to-date • Prepare and present tax and quarterly reports • Utilize systems such as Workday for accounting tasks • Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable • Ensure accurate month-end close processes. Requirements • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate Bank Reconciliations • Strong understanding of the General Ledger and its applications • Experience in preparing and maintaining Journal Entries • Skilled in performing Month End Close procedures • Working knowledge of the Workday financial management system Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
