Description
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to fill a temporary, onsite role for a 6-month period at an established organization. The prospective candidate will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations whilst covering for maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Charging billing at the outset of the quarter and executing a substantial report in April.
+ Accounts Payable (A/P) management and closely tracking and recording revenue from dues.
+ Pulling financial reports using Stripe and logging payments in the database for membership tracking.
+ Assistance required in recording revenues for ad sales from the guild's magazine, along with processing a 20% commission on ad sales.
+ Posting journal entries and expected to work extensively on auditing procedures.
+ Apart from regular duties, engagement in a side project to assist in setting up desk procedure manuals is anticipated.
+ Collaboration with the CPA responsible for bank reconciliations.
Requirements
The post demands proficiency in Sage 50 and any similar software experience would be highly preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards testing procedures from February through July.
