Description We are inviting applications for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to our team's overall efficiency. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our finance department, providing vital support in managing financial transactions and reporting. Responsibilities: • Ensure accuracy and legal compliance in all financial documents and statements • Contribute to the preparation and filing of tax returns • Accurately input accounting data into business logs • Maintain efficiency and accuracy in account books • Assist in organizing and updating financial records • Suggest strategies to minimize costs and augment revenue • Execute monthly bank settlements • Prepare necessary documentation for external auditors • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Perform bank reconciliations and generate journal entries as required • Contribute to the month-end close process. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as Staff Accountant. • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required. • Must have a strong understanding of the General Ledger. • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries. • Experience in performing Month End Close processes is necessary. • Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software is advantageous. • Proficiency in Oracle financial software is desired. • Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks is beneficial. • Familiarity with SAP ERP system is a plus.
