Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry. The position is situated in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank reconciliation, general ledger entries, and month-end closing activities. Responsibilities: • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings • Reconcile the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets • Manage leasing and debt profiles • Record journal entries for income and expenses • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Workday ERP and Workday Financial Management • Maintain and update accounting records for the healthcare industry • Manage the fixed asset system for accounting, depreciation, and disposals • Prepare detailed account analysis and report to management. Requirements • Must have experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required • Experience with General Ledger management is essential • Must be able to manage Journal Entries effectively • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is a must • Experience with Workday, Workday ERP, and Workday Financial Management systems is necessary • Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry is preferred • Must have knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting and Fixed Assets • A strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations within the Healthcare/NHS industry is needed • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines is required • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
