Description We are looking to bring on board a Staff Accountant in our manufacturing team in NOVI, Michigan. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including the management of accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, collections, and reconciliation. You'll also play a key role in the month-end close process. This role is a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Assisting with the tracking and reconciliation of inventory balances and production variances. • Generating accurate customer invoices and ensuring timely billing. • Managing accounts payable by accurately processing vendor invoices and ensuring alignment with purchase orders. • Conducting daily bank reconciliations to ensure financial transaction accuracy. • Preparing and posting journal entries during month-end and year-end closing processes. • Providing support during internal and external audits by compiling requested documents and transactional data. • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and company financial policies. • Reconciling general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. • Monitoring customer accounts for outstanding receivables and executing collection processes. • Managing payments to vendors, ensuring the timely release of funds while adhering to credit terms. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations is required. • Must have experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is necessary. • Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger maintenance is essential. • Applicants should be familiar with creating Journal Entries. • Experience with Month End Close procedures is a must.
