Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced staff accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain and update accounting records and files, ensuring accuracy and completeness. + Manage the general ledger by posting transactions and categorizing records, including assets, liabilities, and expenses. + Prepare and analyze budgets, create expense reports, and generate financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. + Examine tax policies, handle tax payments, and prepare and file tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations. + Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency with the company's financial records. + Conduct month-end and year-end closures, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded. + Prepare documents for audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed. + Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. + Proven experience as a staff accountant or in a similar role. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus. + Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
