Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will focus on key areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general accounting. A strong knowledge of SAP is essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable: + Oversee and manage all collection efforts to ensure receivables are current and accurate. + Communicate credit or collection issues to both customers and the sales team to facilitate timely resolutions. + Investigate discrepancies in cash receipts and ensure corrective actions are taken. + Foster positive customer relationships and ensure open communication around receivables inquiries. Accounts Payable: + Review accounts payable invoices against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy prior to booking. + Collaborate with the operations team and vendors to resolve disputed invoices (e.g., pricing variances or additional charges). + Investigate and reconcile discrepancies and maintain up-to-date vendor statements. + Maintain strong vendor relationships and provide timely and transparent communication. + Manage and nurture relationships with office vendors to ensure seamless operations. Cash Management: + Post all banking transactions promptly and accurately. + Reconcile bank statements against general ledger balances, ensuring all cash transactions are properly recorded and accounted for. General Accounting: + Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts (prepaid expenses, cash, other receivables and liabilities, etc.) to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. + Perform month-end reporting tasks and post journal entries necessary for closing the books. + Conduct ad hoc costing reports as required throughout the year to support business decisions. Requirements Requirements: + Knowledge of SAP: Hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory for this role, particularly in accounts receivable and payable. + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. + Experience: 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, with proven expertise in accounts receivable, payable, cash management, and general accounting duties. + Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; knowledge of other accounting software is a plus. + Key Competencies: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to reconcile financial records effectively. + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams. + Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organizational standards in a fast-paced environment.
