Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team in the real estate development/Construction industry. This role is based in Houston, Texas, 77027, United States and offers a hybrid work arrangement. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing bank and financial account reconciliations, recording financial activity, and partaking in other accounting-related duties. Reach out to Cindy for more details or email me: cindy.bradley@roberthalf.c0m Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the preparation of ledger reconciliations. • Record and review company-wide cash activity. • Generate and maintain financial reports, schedules, and worksheets to monitor and communicate the company's financial activity. • Submit and prepare journal entries. • Assist with the process of lot acquisition, including coordination with developers, title companies, and Division Presidents. • Calculate payment of property taxes and homeowner assessments dues. • Collaborate with department and construction personnel to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and communicated. • Participate in the company’s financial statement audit process by responding to audit requests. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelors or Honours Degree in Accounting • Minimum of one year of accounting experience • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance • Experience in preparing Journal Entries • Capability to handle Month End Close procedures Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
