Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Melville, New York. As a Staff Accountant, your primary role will be to manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), along with ensuring the accuracy of bank reconciliations and general ledger entries. You will also be tasked with preparing journal entries and facilitating the month-end close process. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable process • Oversee the accounts receivable process and ensure timely collection • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy • Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis • Prepare and post journal entries as needed • Facilitate the month-end close process in an efficient manner • Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accounting tasks Requirements • Possess knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) • Have a solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Be proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations • Exhibit competency in managing General Ledger • Show ability to maintain and manage Journal Entries • Demonstrate experience with Month End Close procedures • Have proficiency in using NetSuite software • Showcase familiarity with Oracle software • Possess experience in utilizing QuickBooks software • Display knowledge and experience in using SAP software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
