Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, 37921, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in a range of financial and accounting operations including account reconciliations, variance analysis, accounts payables, and other related tasks. You will be instrumental in the accounting for multiple locations and will play a key role in system implementations and process automations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accounting operations for multiple locations • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain any discrepancies • Manage the accounts payable process including uploading invoices into the system and performing check runs • Assist in the automation of financial processes and the implementation of new systems • Handle light accounts receivable duties to ensure timely receipt of payments • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger • Take part in the month-end close process to finalize financial records • Utilize Sage 50 and other accounting software efficiently for various accounting tasks For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required. • Candidates should be adept at managing and maintaining the General Ledger. • Familiarity with creating and reviewing Journal Entries is crucial. • Ability to efficiently handle Month End Close procedures is expected. • Demonstrable skills in Variance Analysis are essential. • Experience in Account Reconciliation is a must. • Applicants must hold a University Degree in a relevant field. • Proficiency in using Sage 50 software is necessary.
