Staff Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Knightdale, North Carolina. This role is in the Retail industry, where you will be required to manage various accounting operations, provide financial reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, which includes the preparation of journal entries and bank reconciliations. • Aid in the preparation of financial statements and reports for multiple entities. • Monitor and prepare monthly reserve balances, estimates, and accruals. • Assist with audit preparations and reporting for quarterly and year-end audits. • Contribute to the quarterly disclosure and analysis process. • Ensure the proper management of financial transactions and provide internal accounting memos. • Be responsible for monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy. • Maintain and manage the company's fixed asset records and schedules. • Assist with the preparation of the company's income and property tax filings. • Assist in consolidating financial statements across multiple entities. • Recommend and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations. • Reconcile physical to book variances through cycle counts in inventory. • Assist with the year-end physical inventory count. • Monitor and manage inventory receipts to vendor Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and management • Skill in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate payment • Ability to perform accurate Bank Reconciliations to prevent any discrepancies • Understanding of General Ledger operations and maintenance • Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries • Expertise in Month End Close procedures and reporting • Familiarity with NetSuite for accounting and financial management • Experience with Oracle for enterprise resource planning • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks • Knowledge of SAP for business process management and operations.
