Position Overview
The Staff Accountant is a position requiring an attention to detail and the ability to be proactive and analytical – a person who is interested in learning, crafting, and mastering the Orion business model. This role supports Operations and Finance, and rolls into the Orion Accounting/Controllers team. The Staff Accountant will perform daily business activities and reporting related to payments, cash management, billing, and collections. Moreover, assist with process improvement to the functions and tasks across Operations. Utilizing a strong analytical mindset, this person should display an affinity for working with numbers, possess strong communication skills, and work well in a team environment. We expect the candidate to be curious and self-motivated and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accounting relating to month end/quarter close, financial reporting, managing day to day financial operations and other special projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Accounting Manager with monthly close process including timely preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and supporting work papers. Provide teams with recurring reports and support through multiple platforms, including Hyperion and Vantage/SAP. Communicate and work with other IPG sister agencies on the reporting of intercompany transactions on a monthly and quarterly basis. Support the Omaha shared services team with accounts receivable and payment reports from Orion vendor reports. Retrieve and book client/vendor payment information and client savings on a weekly basis and reconcile against the general ledger. Support reporting and maintenance of Client Contract Summary Arrangements within IPG platform for SOX compliance. Periodic inventory count and record keeping for any barter goods maintained in house.Desired Skills & Experience:

The salary range for this position is posted below.
