Description A prominent company in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting the general ledger, reconciliations, and key financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP. + Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual analysis. + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts. + Manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and account reconciliations. + Support internal and external audit processes by providing needed documentation. + Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Requirements + 2+ years of accounting experience required; public accounting experience is a plus. + Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills. + Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards. + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. + CPA-track or certification is highly desirable.
