Description We are in search of a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Irwindale, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be managing a multitude of financial tasks, including maintaining customer credit records, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handling and reconciling cash applications and reporting • Assisting with Accounts Receivable processing, managing a significant volume of daily transactions • Conducting account and credit card reconciliations • Preparing and posting monthly journal entries • Overseeing and reconciling company purchasing cards • Providing support for treasury functions, including setting up wire transfers • Offering backup support to the Accounts Payable team as required • Managing insurance and property tax prepaids and processing travel-related accruals • Collaborating with the outgoing staff accountant to document procedures for a smooth transition. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, with the ability to manage, track, and resolve outstanding payment issues. • Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition. • Demonstrated skills in conducting Bank Reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial data. • Familiarity with General Ledger tasks, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and the reconciliation of ledger accounts. • Experience in Journal Entries preparation and review, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely. • Ability to manage Month End Close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports. • Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management and accounting functions. • Experience with Oracle, particularly in the areas of financial management, accounting, and business intelligence. • Proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to manage all accounting transactions and generate reports as needed. • Experience with SAP, particularly in the areas of finance and controlling, financial supply chain management, and financial accounting.
