Description We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, focused on maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Responsibilities • Ensure precise and efficient processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial transparency • Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded • Be involved in month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and other financial software to streamline accounting tasks • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities • Review and verify invoices and check requests • Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries • Assist with other projects as needed within the accounting department. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger maintenance • Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures • Must have experience in using NetSuite for accounting tasks • Proficiency in Oracle is a must • Experience in QuickBooks is preferred • Must have working knowledge of SAP accounting software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
