Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the healthcare industry for a Staff Accountant in Cary, North Carolina. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Your responsibilities will also extend to collections, cash applications, and utilizing NetSuite for various accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and record intra-month and month-end journal entries related to different business functions. • Handle all collections activities for the Company, applying judgement to sensitive and complex contract arrangements. • Engage in the accounts payable function for U.S. and Canadian companies and upkeep all vendor files. • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries, investigate discrepancies and submit in a timely manner to management for review. • Maintain a detail-oriented and positive relationship with employees, clients, and all community and business contacts. • Collaborate with other departments on ad-hoc projects, including research. • Keep confidentiality of private business matters and HIPAA-protected information. • Use time management and problem-solving skills to efficiently carry out job duties. • Maintain an appropriate and detail-oriented personal appearance. • Perform other duties as assigned, to meet the ongoing needs of the company. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related field • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Demonstrated knowledge of the General Ledger • Familiarity with Journal Entries • Experience in performing Month End Close tasks • Proficiency in using NetSuite software • Experience in Collections • Familiarity with Cash Applications • Industry experience in Medical Devices is preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
