Description We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team. The selected individual will be based in Sarasota, Florida, and will play a pivotal role in managing accounting transactions and activities for our various operations. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment arrangement. Responsibilities: • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. • Keep accurate records of customer credit. • Manage and review monthly location Income Statements. • Compare actual operating performance against budget and monitor key metrics. • Share financial statements with location managers and provide assistance with questions on monthly adjusted gross margin results and actual vs. budget variances. • Compile and review physical inventory valuation reports. • Aid in the preparation of locations annual forecasts and budgets. • Help in documenting and monitoring of internal controls. • Maintain the general ledger system. • Oversee additional locations as they become operational. • Store accounting documents as required. • Take on special projects as requested. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management • Required to have experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Must be capable of performing Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently • Should have a solid understanding of General Ledger practices and principles • Expected to be adept at preparing and posting Journal Entries • Must be capable of managing Month End Close tasks and responsibilities • Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting purposes is necessary • Experience with QuickBooks software is a must Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
