Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico. This key role involves assisting with a wide variety of mid-level accounting functions within the finance department. The Staff Accountant will also work closely with the Accounting Manager on financial planning and systems implementation, as well as other special projects. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger • Support the Accounting Manager in financial coordination and analysis • Participate in Medicaid recertifications and maintenance processes • Handle Social Security Benefit applications and their ongoing maintenance • Conduct billing analysis to ensure accuracy and efficiency • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review • Contribute to the implementation of new systems within the finance department • Collaborate with other areas of the finance department including Billing, Payroll, etc. • Help in the execution of special projects assigned by the Accounting Manager • Cross-train between all areas of the finance department to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary. • A sound understanding of General Ledger operations is crucial. • The ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries is essential. • Experience with Month End Close procedures is required. • Knowledge of NetSuite software is a prerequisite. • Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desired. • Familiarity with SAP software is beneficial. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary. • Experience with Payroll procedures and operations is required. • Knowledge of Billing procedures is a must.
