Description Chris Preble from Robert Half is searching for a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of his client in Utica, NY. This company has outstanding work life balance and solid benefits. As a Staff Accountant in this newly created role due to growth, your main responsibility will be to manage and maintain financial records, resolve account discrepancies, and support overall financial operations. Responsibilities • Ensure all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, are processed timely and accurately. • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and general ledger reconciliations. • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts. • Assist in executing month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Prepare and submit sales tax, use tax, and other regulatory reports as required. • Support the financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting. • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary support in audit preparation.
