Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial in our team as it involves handling customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. It also includes monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer credit records • Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded • Posting payments and managing accounts payable and receivable • Conducting month-end close procedures and preparing journal entries • Reconciling accounts and maintaining the general ledger • Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts • Reviewing and posting third party transactions such as Uber & Door Dash statements. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including the ability to track and manage all company expenses. • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely collection of payments owed to the company. • Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in financial records. • Understanding of General Ledger maintenance, including recording financial transactions and monitoring credits and debits. • Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries, accurately documenting all financial transactions. • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date at the end of each month. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, verifying the accuracy of financial data across various accounts. • Experience in Posting Payments, ensuring all company transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
