Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves performing various accounting tasks, including creating journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and running reports. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our team's success in the health care industry with a growing organization. Responsibilities: • Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations for specified accounts. • Generate and manage general journal entries. • Oversee monthly variance analysis reporting and probe any variances. • Assist in the construction of financial statements. • Manage documentation related to banking activities. • Contribute to the preparation of tax documentation. • Oversee fixed assets and payroll processing. • Ensure compliance with GAAP. • Handle confidential information and maintain HIPPA compliance. • Execute additional accounting duties as required. • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis when needed. Requirements • MUST HAVE Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting • Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations, journal entries, month end close, GL reconciliation • No Visible Tattoos, No Tobacco users • Must Have • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Advanced Microsoft Excel • Familiarity with Great Plains preferred, experience with other ERP systems required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
