Staff Accountant
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the service industry, located in MUKILTEO, Washington. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with managing various aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, and processing of taxes. This role is instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within our organization. Responsibilities: • Manage the full Accounts Payable process, including invoice approval, entry, and payment • Handle the accumulation and posting of month-end journal entries, including various accruals and amortizations • Ensure accurate reconciliation of identified balance sheet accounts • Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card expenses • Process annual reports and business licenses, ensuring timely completion and payment • Handle the tracking, valuation, and payment of Personal Property Taxes • Assist in the yearly financial compilation and process Estimated Tax, Extensions, and Income Tax return payments and mailings • Maintain a clear and organized record of all financial transactions and documents • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Dynamics GP software desired. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and operations • Experience with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data • Solid understanding of General Ledger systems and operations • Ability to prepare accurate Journal Entries for various accounting transactions • Experience in conducting Month End Close processes efficiently and on schedule • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
