Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Troy, Michigan. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within our Marketing Services business. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include managing all aspects of Accounts Payable, preparing journal entries, conducting bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee full-process Accounts Payable duties, including invoice processing, matching, and coding • Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger • Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy • Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting • Utilize Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Monitor and manage customer accounts effectively • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency • Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer inquiries as needed. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is a mandatory requirement • The candidate should have experience with Bank Reconciliations • Knowledge and experience in handling the General Ledger is required • The ability to perform Journal Entries is a necessary skill • The candidate should be adept at handling Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required • The candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
