Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves working within a hybrid setup, where you will be required to work onsite for certain days and remotely for others. The role is within the finance industry and will involve tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Responsibilities: • Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently. • Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy. • Ensuring correct journal entries are made in the general ledger. • Assisting with the month-end close process. • Utilizing various software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accounting tasks. • Ensuring GAAP compliance in all accounting processes. • Maintaining accurate customer credit records. • Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary. • Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required, with the ability to handle and manage all AP related tasks. • Must have strong skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and reporting. • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. • Should be well versed in maintaining and managing the General Ledger, including all necessary adjustments and modifications. • Must be proficient in creating and posting Journal Entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. • Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and deadlines are met. • Familiarity with NetSuite is required, including its accounting functionalities and reporting tools. • Proficiency in Oracle is necessary, particularly its financial management modules. • Must be proficient in QuickBooks, including its accounting and financial management functionalities. • Familiarity with SAP is required, particularly its financial and controlling modules.
