Staff Accountant
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant in the property management and construction industries located in Ocala, Florida. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with the responsibility of managing our financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements. This role is integral to maintaining our financial health and making sure we are compliant with all financial regulations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Conduct month-end close procedures and generate accurate financial statements. • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. • Handle cash operations and maintain appropriate records. • Coordinate with vendors and manage vendor reconciliations. • Utilize Jonas Club Software for efficient financial operations. • Prepare and post journal entries and ensure the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry. • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Experience with bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting. • Ability to create and manage Journal Entries. • Experience with Month End Close processes. • Prior experience using Jonas Club Software is highly desirable. • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
