Description Staff Accountant Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to accurate financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. A solid understanding of ERP systems and financial processes is essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: + Perform general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks. + Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation. + Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. + Leverage ERP software to maintain and analyze financial data, ensuring system efficiency and accuracy. + Participate in audits by preparing necessary schedules and reports and collaborating with auditors as needed. + Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring proper documentation and alignment across systems. + Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by analyzing variances and providing insights. + Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and system functionality to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or pursuing CPA certification is a plus. + Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a medium to large organization. + ERP Systems: Expertise in the use of ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics). + Skills: Strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and ability to perform data analysis with accuracy. + Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting processes. + Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
