Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in FLOYDS KNOBS, Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger, among others. You will also be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and record transactions in the general ledger • Handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate • Handle journal entries to record financial transactions • Oversee the month-end close to ensure all financial data is accurate and complete • Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks • Regularly review and update customer credit records • Proactively resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management • Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries • Familiarity with General Ledger and Month End Close procedures • Proficient with accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards.
