Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for tasks such as managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity, and the selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise in full cycle payroll and month-end close processes. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable (AP) • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding payments • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded • Carry out month-end close processes in a timely and accurate manner • Oversee full cycle payroll activities to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Skilled in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger • Expertise in preparing Journal Entries • Experience in performing Month End Close activities • Knowledge in managing Full Cycle Payroll Robert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
