This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. If interested in this role, please contact Noe Silva at 808.452.0264 How you will make an impact - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments - Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested - Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries - Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation - Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision - Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills - Current and relevant ERP system experience - General ledger experience desired - Reconciliations experience - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) - Recent and relevant accounting experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
