Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our team in the Agriculture industry based in Hanford, California. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass various accounting functions, working in close conjunction with other teams to secure accurate and on-time financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Accurately reconcile bank statements to ensure financial precision • Manage Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, updates, reconciliations, and monthly billings • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and on-time reporting of operational and financial performance to growers • Calculate end-of-season/year production, royalty, and assessment fees • Carry out daily receiving and packout reconciliations • Maintain accounting of Trouble and PAS orders • Upload daily/weekly reports to business process and grower portal • Assist in special projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller • Prepare settlement reports for grower payments, including bonuses and deductions • Post intercompany transfers in the General Ledger • Prepare end-of-season/year packer reports for third-party reporting agencies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role • Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge and ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Demonstrated ability to prepare and make Journal Entries • Excellent analytical and numerical skills • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Good communication and time management skills • Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines • Familiarity with the agriculture industry would be advantageous.
