Description Bridget Killen at Robert Half is looking for an accountant in the Salem, Oregon area. In this role, you will be focusing on analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and coordinating various accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Preparing financial reports on a monthly basis • Conducting thorough analysis and troubleshooting of the balance sheet and income statement • Assisting with the coordination of Accounts Receivable tasks such as customer invoicing and monthly statements • Ensuring timely payments by following up on overdue customer accounts • Updating and maintaining customer profiles as required • Conducting bank deposits and reconciliations • Assisting with Accounts Payable tasks, including issuing checks to vendors • Reconciling and coding credit card transactions accurately • Preparing daily cash reports for senior management • Performing month-end and year-end close procedures in compliance with the industry standards • Using accounting software like QuickBooks and SAP for various accounting functions. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP). • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR). • Must have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Must have a thorough understanding of the General Ledger. • Must have experience in creating Journal Entries. • Must have experience in the Month End Close process. • Must have proficiency in QuickBooks. • A degree in Accounting or a related field is required. • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team.
