Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Champlin, MN. The Staff Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining the general ledger and managing fixed assets. This role also involves assisting with payroll accounting, inventory counts, and various audits. The Staff Accountant will have the responsibility to manage monthly accruals, prepaid amortization, lease amortization and reconcile these items. Responsibilities: • Conduct general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and reconciliation of financial transactions. • Assist in managing fixed assets, including balancing asset accounts and posting addition, disposal, and depreciation transactions. • Provide support with payroll accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Facilitate physical inventory counts and reconciliations. • Oversee monthly accruals, prepaid amortization, lease amortization, and reconcile these items. • Aid with internal and external audits, including gathering and preparing supporting documentation. • Assist with filing and reconciliation of various state sales and use tax. • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. • Uphold internal controls, policies, and procedures. • Engage in special projects as assigned.
