Description We are actively searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our finance department by managing a broad range of accounting and administrative responsibilities. Your tasks will include account reconciliations, processing accounts payable and receivable, and conducting financial analysis, among other duties. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable. • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts. • Assist in the preparation and reporting of monthly grants. • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of budgets. • Maintain the schedule for fixed assets and computer replacements. • Assist in the month-end close process. • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions. • Prepare financial reports as needed. • Ensure the security and maintenance of payment platforms. • Oversee compliance with state charity registrations. • Administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with 401(k) reporting. • Prepare 1099 and other tax forms as per the regulatory requirements.
