Description We are searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be involved in a range of accounting duties, including cash reconciliation, prepaid expense accounting, fixed assets, and month-end accounting tasks. You will also work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. Responsibilities: • Handle daily bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset continuity schedules • Conduct reconciliations and analyses of the general ledger and individual accounts • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the general ledger • Collaborate with other departments to address issues and support business objectives • Prepare data for cash flow forecasts and record depreciation • Provide support for the accounts payable and receivable teams • Assist in creating financial statements and reports • Aid in audit requests related to Accounts Receivable balances and client payments • Reconcile intercompany Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances monthly • Complete ad hoc requests as required. Range for this position is $55k-$70k + bonus and will depend on experience.
