Job Summary: The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the organization’s financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and practices. This position will focus on managing fixed assets, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting various accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation and hands-on experience in a high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities: + Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. + Manage the fixed assets process, including asset capitalization, depreciation schedules, and periodic reconciliations. + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and accurate financial data is reported. + Prepare and maintain detailed general ledger account reconciliations. + Assist in preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. + Collaborate closely with the accounting team to identify process improvements and implement efficient workflows. + Reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analyzing accounting information. + Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and data as requested. + Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on bank reconciliations and fixed asset management. + Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with [specific software, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics] is a plus. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles. + Excellent Excel skills (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis are a plus). + Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. + Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
