Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Longwood, Florida. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, overseeing fixed assets, and ensuring adherence to project budgets. This role involves close collaboration with project owners to ensure accurate allocation of invoices. Responsibilities: • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices into Accounts Payable (AP), matching them with the corresponding project budgets. • Oversee the company's fixed assets records, ensuring project-related invoices are correctly coded. • Collaborate with project owners to rectify any discrepancies between vendor invoices and project budgets, providing updates and resolving any budget allocation issues. • Allocate vendor invoices to the appropriate project budgets in compliance with financial policies and accounting standards. • Ensure the correct allocation of costs by comparing all vendor invoices with project budgets. • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements. • Monitor due dates and collaborate with the tax team to ensure the timely payment of tangible taxes due in multiple states. • Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel for efficient and accurate financial data management. Requirements • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on accounts payable, fixed assets, and project budgets. • Strong understanding of project budgeting and invoice allocation processes. • Experience with fixed asset accounting and management. • Knowledge of tangible tax compliance for multiple states.
